Lighter I bought doesn’t even work. Didn’t work when I first opened it, thought maybe it needed to be filled so I filled it with butane and still doesn’t work.

The flame goes into the lid of the lighter. Is that normal??

I ordered two of the basic wind proof lighters the site advertised one for a friend and one for myself. Upon delivery and filling both lighter i noticed only one of them seemed to be able to hold any gas and it didnt have an ignition point when clicked. The other worked fine for a bout a week but then the iginition point went from working everytime to working on out of 5. I contacted the company about the first problem and was given a list of instructions on how to "fix it myself" if something arrives not working it is down to the customer to fix it for you. I was also told if none of the instructions sent worked i was to make videos of the items not working. No your products arrived sub standard and basically not working at all customers shouldnt have to prove that. In my job when a customer returns an item because it doesnt fit i dont make them put it on and prove it before ill take the return and refund

We completely understand where you're coming from regarding the troubleshooting steps. With products like lighters where there is a lot of room for user error, we always like to ensure the lighter is being purged, filled, and adjusted properly prior to declaring it to be faulty. Please understand we go through these troubleshooting steps not to try to make our customers fix a faulty lighter, but to ensure they are following the correct procedures when using their lighter. If these few steps don't end up fixing the issue, we always ask for a short video as it can provide us with further context into why the lighter isn't working which both helps us further understand what may be causing the issue, and helps us narrow down common issues with our lighters so we can make improvements on future lighters. In 90% of cases, we can get the lighter working with these troubleshooting steps, but in the case that a lighter is indeed faulty, we're more than happy to send a free replacement or issue a refund. Again, we truly appreciate your input and will do our best to make refinements to our troubleshooting procedure. We completely understand if you're not interested in sending us a video to help us better understand the issue, so we've reached out to you over email and we'll be more than happy to send you two replacements lighters free of charge.
